By using this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which govern Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited's relationship with you in relation to this website.

The term “Visionplan” and “Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited” shall be used interchangeably and in both instances refer to the owner of this website. The term "you" refers to the user or viewer of our website.

All eye health information on the Visionplan website is provided solely for general consumer understanding and education. It is subject to change without notice. Because this site, and all content comprising the site, is for educational purposes only, there is nothing on the site that should be used as a substitute for medical advice, including advice about vision and eye care and/or any issues related to vision care and eye care.  Access and use of this website is completely voluntary and is the sole risk of the user.

Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which Vision Health Plan Limited, and its directors and employees shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

We strongly advise you to always seek the advice of an eye care or general health care professional and/or provider with any questions about vision and eye care or any medical condition. You should not delay in contacting a vision/eye care professional based on information you have obtained from this site, or any site whose link may be found on the Visionplan website. If you believe you have a vision problem or condition, contact a qualified vision care professional such as an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist immediately.

Links to documents or websites outside of the Visionplan website are provided as a convenience and do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of the staff or management of Vision Health Plan Limited. Links to such documents do not in any way suggest Visionplan’s endorsement of any product or service specified therein.

When you register as a member with Visionplan you are responsible for safeguarding your own password, including, but not limited to, the responsibility to not improperly disclose or allow the disclosure of your password to unauthorized persons. If you suspect that your password has been compromised, please notify Visionplan immediately.

You may not create a link to this website from another website or document without Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited's prior written consent.

Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of New Zealand.

Terms and Conditions of Purchase

These Terms and Conditions govern any transaction between Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited and our customers:

The term “Visionplan” and “Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited” shall be used interchangeably and in both instances refer to the owner of this website. The term "you" refers to the customer.

Visionplan is not an insurance product and no insurance cover is provided. Visionplan members gain access to products and services through Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited's preferred providers at lower than normal retail rates in return for a regular membership fee paid in weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual installments depending on the plan selected.

Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited is not offering finance or any type of financial product. Visionplan is a retail health product that in return for payment of a regular membership fee provides an allowance up to the amount specified by the Visionplan selected, for products and services from optometry practices.

The anniversary date of this agreement is 12 months after your joining date. 

The joining date shall be the date Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited issues a notice to you confirming your plan.

You agree to sign on as a Visionplan member for a minimum term of 12 months.

By completing the online order form you agree to these terms and conditions, and allowance limits of the Visionplan selected, and agree to pay by the method indicated on your order form.

By completing the online order form you agree and accept that you are the person responsible for the credit card and accept responsibility for all charges made on our website by your card.

Communication

When you visit our website or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receiving communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on this site. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Any notices sent to you will be to the email address you register when joining Visionplan. If your email address changes please tell us by contacting us on 0800 003 005 as soon as possible.

Allowances

The Visionplan schedule of allowances is available on the Visionplan website and states what each Visionplan delivers.

Preferred Providers mean those optometry practices that are listed as a preferred provider on the Visionplan website. This list may change from time to time.

Your annual product allowance will roll over into the following year, and will be available for a maximum of twenty four months from the date it first accrues. So if you think you will only want to upgrade your glasses every two years choose a lower plan as the allowance will build up over time.

 

The discount on products over and above your allowance from preferred providers is available immediately upon joining. This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount offered by the preferred provider.

Payments

Payment start date

Once you have completed the joining process, payments via Direct Debit from your bank account will commence on the joining date.

Term

The minimum term for Visionplan is 12 months. You may choose to pay your membership fee weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually. If you choose to pay weekly, then your membership fee for the first 52 weeks is to be paid in 52 equal weekly installments or direct debit. If you choose to pay monthly, then your membership fee for the first 12 months is to be paid in 12 equal monthly installments by direct debit. If you choose to pay quarterly, then your membership fee for the first 12 months is to be paid in 4 equal quarterly installments by direct debit. Or you can choose to pay 12 months membership in one lump sum on the joining date. 

After the minimum term of 12 months from the joining date, provided you continue your membership and pay your membership fees, your examination and product allowances will accrue in line with the payments you make.

After the first 12 months membership from the joining date, you can cancel your membership at any time.

Payments on Public Holidays

Your Direct Debit payment will come out the working day prior. Please note that Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited is located in Auckland, therefore we observe Auckland Anniversary Day

Missed payments

If you miss a payment we will automatically recalculate your anniversary date and the allowances available to you. If several payments are missed, we may suspend your membership until further notice.

We are not responsible for your bank charges if payments fail.

Direct Debit Authority

If you are paying by Direct Debit, you will need to complete a Direct Debit Authority to allow a payment to be automatically deducted from your bank account. By filling out the Direct Debit Request form, you are authorising Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited to debit your payments from your chosen account.

Stopping a Direct Debit payment

If you call us on 0800 003 005 one working day before your payment is due we can stop a payment (i.e.: before Friday midday for a Monday payment).

How to change your plan

You can change your plan at any time by simply contacting us on 0800 003 005.

Just remember that changing your plan can lead to an increase or decrease in your payments, and the allowance available to you.

Cancellation policy

If you are unable to keep up your membership payments for any reason, please contact us on 0800 003 005 as soon as possible to discuss the options that are available to you.

These options may include cancelling your plan.

Your Visionplan requires you to make small regular payments. If you are having any difficulty making your payments please contact us on 0800 003 005 as soon as possible to discuss your options. We may be able to amend your plan so that you still receive some of the benefits from Visionplan.

If your plan is cancelled, cancellation charges will apply to enable us to recover our costs.

You may cancel your plan within three weeks of receiving our notice to you confirming your plan. Within this three week period, if you have claimed no allowance, there will be no cancellation charges and we will refund in full all payments made by you.

After the three week cooling off period, a cancellation charge will be deducted from your refund as follows:

Up to 12 months after your joining date: 25% of payments required to be made by you pursuant to this agreement to the date of cancellation, providing no allowances have been claimed by you.

Your plan cannot be cancelled within the first 12 months of membership once you have redeemed any of the allowance (whether product or service) available to you under your plan.

If, during the first 12 months of membership, you cancel your membership after you have redeemed any of the allowance available to you, you will be liable to Visionplan for the full 12 month membership fees, less any monthly amounts paid by you .

If any two consecutive installments of your membership fee are not paid during your first 12 months membership, Visionplan may cancel this agreement without further notice. If you have used any of your allowance, any outstanding monies for the balance of your first 12 months membership will then be due for payment immediately.

Failure to pay in full such monies when demanded, may result in your account being passed onto a debt collection agency, and debt collection fees may be added to the amount you are required to pay.

Any unspent allowance will remain on your account for one year from the date you stop paying your installments for your use provided you renew your Visionplan membership.  If you do not renew your membership within that I year, Visionplan shall be entitled to forfeit such monies to cover its costs incurred in maintaining your account.

Visionplan reserves the right to cancel your membership at any time and, provided you are not in breach of this agreement, it may refund the previous 12 months payments minus any allowances claimed.

Your entitlements under Visionplan cannot be transferred, gifted or sold to another person.

Pricing & GST

All membership fees and allowances include GST. All payments are rounded off to the nearest cent.

Contract

There will be no contract between Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited and you until Luxottica Retail New Zealand Limited issues a notice confirming the customer’s plan.

Errors, Omissions and Images
